Your first Turkish bath in Side: a practical visitor’s guide

A Turkish bath can be a memorable part of a holiday in Side. Before choosing a package, it helps to understand that the hammam ritual, massage and spa facilities are different parts of the experience. Their inclusions and treatment times vary by package.

Scrub, foam and massage: what is the difference?

A body scrub is an exfoliation treatment in the hammam. Foam is part of the bathing ritual, while classic or aromatic oil massage is listed separately. A package showing 20 minutes of scrub and foam does not mean your full visit takes 20 minutes.

Kelebek’s Classic Swedish package combines a 20-minute scrub and foam treatment with a 30-minute classic body massage. The Ottoman programme lists a 20-minute scrub, 30-minute foam massage and 10-minute salt massage. Compare treatments rather than package names alone.

Preparing for your first visit

Pack swimwear if you want to use the pool. Ask whether towels, slippers and other essentials are provided. Comfortable clothing and any change of clothes you need afterwards will make the day easier.

Tell the team your preferred massage pressure, product preferences and comfort boundaries before treatment. You can also ask how the programme will work in your booking message.

How much holiday time should you allow?

Listed times describe treatments. Preparation, sauna, relaxation, pool time and transfers can add to the visit. If you have another activity that day, ask about the total duration and leave enough time between plans.

Share your hotel name, preferred day, guest numbers and children’s ages. The team can confirm whether the free return transfer covers your location and agree a pick-up time.

What to confirm before booking

Ask about current prices, inclusions, availability and pick-up time. Clarify payment and cancellation terms before confirming. The online form prepares a request; your booking is complete only after the business confirms it.
